So last weekend was the greatest weekend. I surprised Eric by flying home for his birthday. The look on his face when I was standing there waiting for him and it wasn't his uncle was incredible. He was shocked and surprised. I even got to see my snow which made it even better. Eric and I had an amazing weekend. We went out to dinner with his family and the food was amazing. We went and saw a movie, got Steak N Shake, and went to the casino. The rest of the weekend we just hung out and watched movies. I think it was a pretty successful surprise trip and he was happy because he didn't have the dentist appointment his parents told him he had.
Now this week is over and I had my first week at the dialysis center. I actually really like it. The dietitian I am working with is younger and has given me a lot of advice and information so far. I look forward to learning even more and then transitioning to community for the remainder of my internship.
I am preparing because my parents will be here in 3 weeks and I want to have a really fun weekend. Shopping is definitely on the top of my list and maybe even a trip to Memorial Park. I know they are just as excited as I am. After that I will get back into the rotations at the food bank and the health department. One month after my parents come, Eric will come for his Spring Break trip and that will be amazing too. We have rodeo tickets and hopefully a day down at the beach.
Well right now my big thing is getting all my internship work done and I have started to look for jobs. I found a few in the Chicago land area and I will be sending out my resume and application to see if maybe somewhere will want me and will be willing to wait until May to hire me. And who knows if an opportunity opens I may be making a random trip to Chicago for the weekend.
Love and miss you all!

And I'm back
So it's my first whole weekend back in Houston and comparatively it's warm here. I went for a run this week and it was amazing. I am 1 week away from finishing off my clinical rotation and I have learned so much. I do think I am ready to start something new. Next Monday the 23 I will be starting at the dialysis center for 3 weeks.
I had an amazing 2 weeks home and enjoyed every second of it. Christmas was amazing and I got to spend tons of time with my family. Eric and I went to see A Christmas Carol downtown after Christmas and it was SO good. Then I got to go to my first Blackhawks game. I had so much fun. New Year's Eve was great. We had dinner with my family and then just spent the night hanging out until midnight. The day before I had to come back to Houston, I met Eric downtown for the Christmas party the company he interned at was having. We had a great night and it was the first "Big Kid" party. All in all break was great and now it's just getting back into the swing of things and planning my parent's trip and Eric's visit. I can't believe it is already the middle of January and I need to start getting ready to transition home and get a big girl job.
O and I just bought Rodeo tickets and Eric and I get to see Brad Paisley! This semester is going to fly by. I'll get back into posting here around once a week to let everyone know how it is going. Miss everyone already!
